Com um lindo salto

Lesto e seguro

O gato passa

Do chão ao muro

Logo mudando

De opinião

Passa de novo

Do muro ao chão

E pega corre

Bem de mansinho

Atrás de um pobre

De um passarinho

Súbito, para

Como assombrado

Depois dispara

Pula de lado

E quando tudo

Se lhe fatiga

Toma o seu banho

Passando a língua

Pela barriga.

With a beautiful leap

Speedy and safe

The cat moves

From the ground to the gate

And keeps changing

Around

And moves again

From the gate to the ground

Ready to run

Very sneaky

Looking at the poor one

Little bird

Out of a sudden

He stops

And like a shot

He goes to the top

And when everything

Makes him bleary

He takes his own bath

Moving the tongue

Through his belly.
